Over the years ARC has prided itself over the quality, and consistency of the work which it undertakes. We always strive to plan far in advance to ensure that our loads get to where they need to be with no faults along the way. The Cape Town Harbour to the Westarcor Engineering Facility for a 55.3m long Wind Turbine Blade

ARC were commissioned by Kumkani Heavy Haulage to carry out a route clearance from the Cape Town Harbour to the Westarcor Engineering Facility in Saldanha. The Wind Turbine Blade with a length of 55.3m was transported on Kumkani’s extendable Goldhofer trailer with four sets of steerable axils. The Blade had an 8 meter overhang off the end of the trailer.

Richards Bay Harbour To Ndola In Zambia For 6 * 131 Ton Gensets

The dimensions of the 131 ton gensets are 12.73m x 3.670m x 4.330m, giving a laden height of 5.805m. ALE was appointed to transport the loads using their 9 axle Cometto Trailer Combination. The Gensets were transported through South Africa, Botswana and Namibia into Zambia.

Boksburg To Kansanshi In Zambia For 2 * 87 Ton Dump Truck Chassis

The dimensions of the Dump Truck Chassis are 10.50m x 7.50m x 4.650m, giving a laden height of 5.45m. Transcor were appointed to carry the Dump Truck Chassis on their 100 ton Low Bed Trailer Combinations. The Dump Truck Chassis were transported through South Africa, via Zimbabwe into Zambia.

Stainless Steel Fabricators In Roodepoort To The Richards Bay Harbour

Route Clearance for the transportation of an 18 ton Tank with a laden height of 8.0m. The tank was transported on Mercor's Lowbed Trailer Combination.

Richards Bay Harbour to Kendal Power Station for a 300 Ton Transformer.

Rotran was appointed to transport the 300 ton Transformer on their 2 x 14 axle ‘Supra - Cometto’ Beam Wagon Trailer Combination. The Unit Loading was 16.83 kN/m2 and the Laden Height was 5.50m. (The Trailer Combination can be lowered by 300mm to achieve a height of 5.20m).

Triangle Farm - Belville South to Cape Town Harbour for a 132.50 Ton Tug Boat Hull Section.

The dimensions of the Tugboat Hull Section are; 22.554m x 7.840m x 6.30m. The Laden Height is 7.40m. ALE was appointed to transport the 132.5 ton Tugboat Hull Section on their 11 axle ‘Cometto’ Gooseneck Trailer Combination. The Unit Loading was 19.324 kN/m². This equates to 14.545 tons per axle line, 7.273 tons per axle, 3.636 tons per dual set of wheels and 1.818 tons per wheel.

Richards Bay Harbour to Sasol 2/3 in Secunda for a 176 Ton Argon Column.

The Dimensions of the 176 ton Argon Column are; 55.624m x 5.30m x 5.30m, giving a laden height of 6.90m.
Vanguard was appointed to transport the 176 ton Argon Column using a 4 Axle ‘Goldhofer’ Trailer plus 4.50m deck plus 6 Axle ‘Goldhofer’ Trailer and a 10 Axle ‘Goldhofer’ Trailer with the 176 ton Argon Column acting as a self-supporting load.

Richards Bay Harbour to Sasol 2/3 in Secunda For Two SAS Reactor Sections.

The Bottom Section has a mass of 428 tons, dimensions of 21.460m x 9.390m x 9.270m, giving a Laden Height of 10.90m and was transported on an imported 24 Axle x 6.60m wide ‘SCALES’ Flatbed Trailer Combination. The Unit Loading was 26.92 kN/m². This equates to 26.90 tons per axle line, 6.725 tons per axle, 3.363 tons per dual set of wheels and 1.681 tons per wheel.
